Pupillage

Here at Unit, we take great pride in developing and nurturing emerging talent within Family Law. Our Pupillage programme is a 12-month cycle whereby you will be paired with a more senior barrister who will mentor you as you progress through your pupillage. You can learn more about our pupillage programme here.

Work Experience

If you are 16 years or older and interested in a career as a barrister, we may be able to offer you work experience, which is a unique opportunity for you to gain an insight into the day-to-day work of a barrister.

Those undertaking work experience are normally expected to be available between 9am and 5pm.

You will also be invited into Chambers to participate with the barrister and will therefore have to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

On some occasions you may be able to join the barrister remotely and therefore access to a computer in a private room where no one else can hear or disturb you is essential.

All work experience students will be expected to sign a confidentiality agreement.
