Unit Chambers are delighted to announce that Jess Purchase will be joining the team as a Consultant Barrister.

As one of the brightest young barristers on the London and South Eastern Circuit she will be a key addition to the Unit Chambers team and will bring a wide range of experience and expertise in all aspects of children in family law.

In addition, Jess is a founding board member of Women in Family Law and before coming to the Bar was an Amicus ALJ intern at the Oklahoma County Public Defender’s office. She remains actively involved in Amicus in the UK. In her pre-law life, Jess was a mental health community support worker and volunteer supervisor for the National Self-Harm Network.

Jess was called to the Bar in 2017 having graduated in 2010 with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Nottingham. She undertook her Bar Professional Training Course at Manchester Metropolitan University where she also gained her Graduate Diploma in Law. Most recently Jess has been a member of 36 Family (part of the 36 Group) in London and will join Unit Chambers on Monday 9th August.
