Unit Chambers is delighted to announce that Jennifer Evans has joined the Unit Chambers family.
Prior to joining chambers, Jennifer was an Associate Solicitor Advocate at AFG law solicitors in the North West, where she was already an established and accomplished family lawyer. Jennifer joins Unit Chambers on 1st September 2022.

Jennifer Evans said, “I am delighted to be joining Unit Chambers. Jennifer has extensive experience of complicated family matters and a varied practice dealing with all court advocacy including emergency protection orders, interim care orders, finding of fact hearings, final hearings, case management hearings, FDHRA, DRA and application hearings.
Jennifer specialises in complex cases and a considerable amount of her work in recent years has been representing children in public and private law proceedings after becoming a member of the Law Society Children Law Accreditation Scheme in 2019. Her practice has included care proceedings, private law children’s proceedings, deprivation of liberty order applications as well as domestic abuse work including non-molestation order applications. She also has experience in matrimonial and financial matters, including high net worth individuals.
Whilst at AFG law solicitors, Jennifer was part of the team that won the Manchester Law Society’s Family Law Firm of the Year in 2020.
Jennifer graduated with a 2:1 Law degree LLB (Hons) and was called to the Bar in 2010 before qualifying as a solicitor in 2016. She became a High Court advocate in 2021 after obtaining the Higher Rights of Audience Certificate in civil law.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her energetic young family. She is also a key volunteer and most recently spent time as a young person mentor at Bolton Lads and Girls Club. She has previously been involved in fundraising for the Children’s Society and Refuge by completing the New York half marathon and the London marathon.
